Kyle Johnson, Owner
"...Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
Robert Frost
Kyle graduated in 1991 from Johnson State College in Vermont with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Immediately following graduation, he relocated to begin living and working in Jackson Hole, arriving in the spring of 1991.
Kyle has an impressive track record of serving others since he moved to Jackson. He has worked as a staff worker at a group home, a counselor for at-risk teenagers, and a vocational service provider for adults with disabilities. In addition, he spent 3 years employed as a cottage parent and mentor for children with disabilities at a local residential school. Kyle's dedication to helping others is further demonstrated by his 28 consecutive seasons as an adaptive ski instructor for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, where he taught individuals with physical or mental disabilities to ski. His patience and willingness to assist others make him a valuable asset to any team.

Kyle's work history reflects his deep appreciation for the great outdoors. He has worked as a whitewater rafting guide on the Snake River, a ferry boat driver on Jenny Lake, and as a carpenter for various home projects and contractors. His diverse experiences and outgoing nature make it easy for Kyle to connect with people.

Music has been an important part of Kyle's life since childhood. For nearly 2 decades Kyle played keyboards in several popular Jackson bands, including Sister Smith, The Outfit, and Funk Missile. During that time he also played piano for weddings, art openings, and parties. For 23 years, Kyle taught piano privately in Jackson, developing close relationships with his students and their families, and earning the respect of the community. In 2019, he conceived and created the non profit Teton Music School located in Jackson's Center for the Arts, where he served as the school's founding executive director and one of its teachers. Most recently, Kyle has been working as a freelance musician, recording, composing, and producing music for films, TV, and commercials.

Kyle and his wife, Susan, are fortunate to own a home in Jackson where they live with their two children, Zackary and Cadence. In his spare time, Kyle enjoys exploring the area by cycling, skiing, rafting, and sailing.
